Undoubtedly, Epson has been the exponent of InkTank technology, which revolutionized the very idea around home printing. Ruling virtually unchallenged the roost of InkTank inkjet technology over several years; now it is the turn of Canon, the great Japanese firm, which sets for redefining the art of making InkTank inkjet printers—sensual and utilitarian. Canon has taken concerted efforts in further advancing the InkTank technology at its R&D facility at Yako in Japan.
Hardly two years ago, Canon formally ventured into the InkTank inkjet domain, and almost instantly tasted success. Canon’s InkTank printers got warm hugs both from channels as well as end-users as the very economics of printing turned out to be friendly—the cost per page print came down to 0.08 Paisa for B&W, and 0.21 Paisa for colour. In its initial forays in India, the company introduced four models under its PIXMA G-Series of InkTank inkjet printers. The responses have been astonishing.
Now, riding the initial success, Canon has added an array of sophisticated, and application aware InkTank inkjet printers to its repertoire. At a colourful and thematic press conference held in New Delhi, Canon has introduced InkTank printers under its PIXMA G-Series of machines. The models launched include PIXMA G1010, PIXMA G2010, PIXMA G2012, PIXMA G3010, PIXMA G3012, and PIXMA G4010. Now, a fleet of a total eight models of InkTank inkjet printers are ready to print a history on the annals of Canon’s evolution in India. These models target home, SOHO as well as enterprise segments.

The new G Series printers will be available between the price range of Rs 8,195 to Rs 17,425.
