KerioControl range of UTMs address SME markets

In 2017, GFI Software acquired two companies Exinda and Kerio Technologies. While, Exinda is a big name in the field of WAN Optimization & Orchestration—competing with likes of Riverbed and Silver Peak—Kerio Technologies has been known for providing network security appliances (UTMs), IP-PBX, as well as unified communication & collaboration (UC&C) systems (including cloud based UC &C solutions) to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) the world over.

With these acquisitions, ComGuard, GFI’s value added distributor (VAD) in India, has devised comprehensive plans for pitching in Kerio Technologies products in the country. “The Kerio line of offerings nicely jell with the existing GFI products we deal in. We’re now all set to carry bigger kitty combing network security appliances, security intelligence, IP-PBX, unified communication & collaboration products along with a host of other cloud-based solutions to today’s firms and organizations in India”, says Harish Rai, Country Manager, ComGuard Infosol.

In the domain of network security, Kerio offers broad portfolio of unified threat management (UTM) systems, which are targeted at securing SOHOs (small office home offices), SMEs (small and medium enterprises) as well as remote offices. It’s KerioControl range of UTMs compete against those from Fortinet, SonicWALL, Sophos, WatchGuard, and Seqrite.

On the other hand, it’s KerioOperator Series of IP-PBX systems bring in integrated voice and video solutions to enterprise customers. Kerio’s IP-based telephony provides cost effective and highly efficient communications solutions to SOHO and SME entities.

While, KerioConnect offers cloud-based mailing, and storage services to firms and organizations. This effectively competes against Microsoft Office 365. Moreover, KerioCloud is a regular cloud-powered mailing solution, which can act as an alternative to Microsoft Exchange Online. “I sense a great market opportunity awaiting Kerio products in India. We’re going aggressive in taking Kerio brand deeper into the Indian market with our channel partners”, says Rai of ComGuard India.

Meanwhile, ComGuard has been doing full throttled business around GFI’s complete range of products—including GFI LanGuard, GFI OneGuard, GFI WebMonitor, GFI EndPointSecurity, GFI EventsManager, GFI Archiver, GFI MailEssentials, GFI OneConnect, GFI FaxMaker, and GFI FaxMaker Online—in India.
