Xerox India strikes a distribution tie-up with Mumbai-based Compuage Infocom

Working incessantly for strengthening its channel presence with its wide repertoire of laser printers and consumables, Xerox Corporation has added yet another national distributor—this time Mumbai-based Compuage Infocom. Almost a year back, Xerox roped in Kolkata-based Supertron Electronics as its national distributor for handling its imaging & printing systems as well as supplies.
“In our endeavor to provide products and solutions to more customers and strengthen our channel community, we’re extremely pleased to announce our partnership with Compuage Infocom. Their robust channel support mechanism and a deep nationwide presence will certainly intensify our ability to house multiple touch points in the country. Both Xerox and Compuage have wider presence and strive to deliver superior value to our respective stakeholders”, says Balaji Rajagopalan, Executive Director, Technology, Channels & International Distributor Operations, Xerox India.
Atul H Mehta, Chairman & Managing Director, Compuage Infocom says, “ “We’re delighted to partner with Xerox India on their range of office products and supplies. To drive distribution business to supply chain management, we’ve extended our presence beyond metro cities and focusing more on Tier-2 and Tier-3 India cities. With our pan-India footprints, and our aim to penetrate 10,000 resellers in 800 town and cities within this year, we’re certain that we will be able to expand reach of premium-quality Xerox products.”
Xerox, traditionally, has been very strong in the areas of commercial printers (digital press), MFDs (multifunction devices), and wide format printing segments; however, in recent times, the company has put a lot of focus on its laser printers—including MFPs—by engaging more with channels in India. Obviously, it competitors in HP, Canon, Ricoh, Konica Minolta and Kyocera would feel the heat. The mighty Xerox embarks on a rapid market growth in India. The latest distribution tie-up with Compuage Infocom would hugely strengthen its resolve to bring quality laser printers and consumables to firms and organizations in India.
