Galaxy VM three-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with ECOnversion technology

Galaxy VM three-phase UPS systems are powered by  ECOnversion technology, which combines high energy efficiency and seamless switch-over to inverter mode in the event of a mains power failure

Schneider Electric has broadened its higher KV UPS portfolio by introducing its galaxy VM three-phase UPS with ECOnversion technology at a consultant program in Bengaluru. The systems support loads ranging between 160 KVAto 200kVA. The Galaxy VM of UPS is up to 99 percent efficient; it’s easy to deploy with seamless integration into the electrical, physical and monitoring environments of customers operating medium data centers, industrial or facilities applications. The Galaxy VM employs Schneider’s patented ECOnversion technology which combines high energy efficiency and seamless switch-over to inverter mode in the event of a mains power failure. It is the first UPS in India that has 4 level inverter technologies.
“The new Galaxy VM represents a major new breakthrough in UPS technology. Schneider Electric’s patented ECOnversion combines the advantages of double conversion on-line topology and advanced ECO mode technologies, providing our customers with an innovative new UPS solution that helps to maintain the highest levels of energy efficiency,” said Chandrashekhar Prakashrao, Director, Secure Power– Schneider Electric India.
While, Manish Gokhale – General Manager – Business Development (ISB) 3 Phase Power – Schneider Electric India, said “The Galaxy VM key component is that it is fully integrated into the comprehensive Schneider energy management solution for data center and industrial manufacturing applications. The Galaxy VM deploys the latest in technology to lower energy cost through very high efficiency, ECOnversion mode technology for our customers”, added Gokhale.
The highly compact Galaxy VM also add well with the facility monitoring systems and offers energy storage flexibility that allows tailoring of the solution to specific needs. The Galaxy VM brings in flexible energy storage solutions with swappable modular battery modules and fans that can be replaced without the need to go to maintenance bypass, thus increasing availability and load protection.
